News

What has changed in Medic Translate, newest first.

  1. Shorter lists, follow-up questions and “don’t know”

Every category now lists at most six questions; the rest is under “More questions”. Follow-ups appear only after the matching answer – such as “Which drugs?” after “yes”, or the risk information when transport is refused. Patients can answer “don’t know”. New categories: Announcements (blood pressure, ECG, blood sugar, oxygen) and Mental health crisis, plus questions on erectile dysfunction drugs before nitrates, a child’s age and weight, collapse, the urge to push and more. The pain scale now runs from 0 to 10. The protocol is deleted after 4 hours without input, and the app starts reliably offline.

  2. Infection & sepsis, pregnancy and flags

The COVID category is now Infection/Sepsis and asks specifically about sepsis warning signs: chills, feeling severely ill, burning when passing urine, inflamed wounds, reduced urine, weakened immune system, recent surgery or travel abroad. Also new: questions about bleeding, week of pregnancy, contractions and waters breaking, the last-known-well time for stroke, and announcements for the examination, IV access and transport to hospital. Languages now show their flags.

  3. New design, offline download per language & light mode

Medic Translate now looks like a modern app: glass surfaces, floating navigation at the bottom and your device's system font. Each language's audio can be saved for offline use with one tap. Also new: a light mode that follows your device setting, language search, previous/next buttons between questions and an English version of the website. Dutch audio is now complete.

  4. New Categories: COVID, Alcohol/Drugs & more! 🦠🍺

Major content update! We added two new categories: COVID/Infections (6 questions about fever, cough, taste loss, vaccination status) and Alcohol/Drugs (5 questions about consumption and timing). Additionally, Trauma (accident mechanism, speed) and Pre-existing conditions (hypertension, asthma, heart failure, kidney disease) have been expanded.

  5. Dutch now available! 🇳🇱

Medic Translate now supports 12 languages! Dutch has been added with all 64 medical phrases and high-quality voice output. Additionally, we have made minor improvements to the user interface.

  6. Major Update: New Categories & UX Features

Major update! We have added Pediatrics and Intoxication categories. Additionally, we've introduced intuitive swipe navigation, adjustable font sizes, and quick access for your most used languages.

  7. How To & App Installation

New: A detailed How To guide and installation helper! Medic Translate can now be easily saved as an App to your home screen and works completely offline.

  8. New Feature: Protocol Function

We added a protocol function! From now on, answers are automatically saved. This is ideal for handover at the hospital. You can view, copy, or print the protocol at the end.

  9. Launch of Medic Translate
